Oceans of Crystalline

Oceans of Crystalline is a series where science meets art—photography and digital layering transform crystalline formations into visual poetry.

I turned my studio into a laboratory to explore the fascinating process of crystallization. By growing salt crystals on organic materials, found objects, branches, and paper, I discovered a visual language of intricate textures and delicate formations that revealed unexpected beauty.

Each piece begins with the unpredictable formation of crystals—mineral solutions creating complex patterns shaped by time, humidity, and the materials they grow upon. I then photograph these ephemeral structures, capturing their luminous surface qualities and the way they interact with light. Through digital layering, I build depth and complexity, weaving multiple crystalline images into unified compositions that transcend what any single formation could express.

These limited edition archival prints preserve moments of crystalline beauty that would otherwise dissolve or change. No two are identical; each offers collectors a unique convergence of natural process, photography, and digital artistry.
